Ms. Kuhns’ practice focuses on the drafting and prosecuting of patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Ms. Kuhns has extensive experience in the chemical and electrical arts. In particular, Ms. Kuhns has prosecuted applications involving electrolyte compositions, phosphorescent and luminescent compounds, crystallization methodologies, fuel cells, flat panel displays and industrial filtration devices. Further, Ms. Kuhns worked as a Patent Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office for 2 years where she examined patent applications relating to edible substances.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with honors from the University of MD, College Park, and her Juris Doctor in Law from Georgetown University Law Center.

Ms. Kuhns is licensed in Virginia, and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Prior to entering the field of intellectual property, Ms. Kuhns worked as a technical services process engineering in a cosmetics manufacturing plant where she converted processes of customers to fit equipment in facility, trouble-shot complications and performed experimental lab work for use in scale-up.
